Cullercoats Watch House

Some of the beneficiaries that CCCT have supported

Building Restoration: Returning the Watch House to its historical charm through colour restoration, hand-carved brickwork, veranda renovations, and essential repairs.   Accessibility upgrades, sustainable improvements, and transforming the interior for multifunctional community use.

The Watch House sits on a clifftop promontory which is subject to all of the weather and harshness that the North Sea can throw at it.
It is an inevitability that the passage of time has taken its toll and the building has been in need of extensive repairs.

The Catherine Cookson Trust

If you're in education and training, environment and conservation, arts and culture, as well as general charitable purposes, your organisation could be eligible for a grant from the Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust. Grants are generally awarded between £100 and £100,000 but occasionally larger sums are donated where there are exceptional circumstances. In particular, we aim to meet the needs of North East England, where Dame Catherine grew up and lived much of her adult life.
